A transcript may be unavailable if the creator disabled closed captions in their YouTube Studio settings, if the video is primarily non-verbal (such as music or ambient sound), or if the video was uploaded very recently and YouTube’s automated speech recognition pipeline has not finished processing the audio yet.

Why do developers need a 24-character YouTube Channel ID?
While channel handles (@username) and display names can be changed by creators at any time, the 24-character Channel ID starting with "UC" is permanent and immutable. It is the primary key required by the YouTube Data API v3 for database integrations, feeds, and analytics tracking.
